Nick Hodge – Macroeconomic Trends And Commodity Stock Investing In Copper, Gold, and Uranium
Nick Hodge, Co-Owner of Digest Publishing and editor of Foundational Profits and Hodge Family Office, joins Shad Marquitz on Korelin Economics Report (KER), to review macro investing themes in general US equities and in the commodities resources stock in copper, gold, and uranium.
Nick and Shad kick things off with a macroeconomic discussion on inflation trends and a swath of recent better than expected data, allowing for the continued Fed tightening cycle, and what that means for interest rates, and markets. This is a wide-ranging discussion that gets into the continued yield curve inversions, if we are going to see a “double-whammy” recession, and how that could affect the demand for various commodities.
Nick explains that he has taken a few positions in gold and copper stocks, and discusses his views on best practices when it comes to getting into private placements. In the near-term he is most bullish on the uranium sector, mentioning he favors the more advanced companies that are dual-listed on the big boards like Energy Fuels (UUUU) (EFR), enCore Energy (EU), and Uranium Energy Corp (UEC), but also mentioned adding some exposure to the earlier-stage explorer Kraken Energy (UUSA) (UUSAF).
