Finding profit in commodity pullbacks

Since last week: Recent Fed comments cast doubt on rate cuts.

1. A Lull in Commodities

Some commodities, especially copper, recently experienced all-time highs but have since begun pulling back. This looks to be a healthy and necessary correction. More importantly, it creates a strong buying opportunity to get in at a discount. Click here to see why commodities are still a buy despite the recent drop in prices.

2. Apple Intelligence

After a long period of speculation, Apple finally revealed its plans for AI, which it is calling Apple Intelligence. Among the many features it announced was development of in-house AI models along with a partnership with OpenAI that will integrate ChatGPT into its operating systems. With Apple now officially in the race, the competition for AI dominance is only going to get more intense. That means, among other things, that the potential for small AI companies to get bought out just went up. Click here to learn more about three particular companies that could be buyout targets

3. Bill Gates’ Nuclear Ambition

Bill Gates’ nuclear power venture TerraPower recently broke ground at the site of a new nuclear power plant in Wyoming. The reactor at the plant is the kind of new design that has the chance to be a common alternative to the large, hulking reactors many people picture when they think about nuclear reactors. Though the project isn’t set to be complete until 2030, it shows how innovation is driving the need to address the climate crisis. It also shows why uranium demand is a strong, long-term investment play. Click here to learn more about one uranium supplier set to be a big winner in that environment

4. Gold Prices Pull Back

Just like copper, gold prices have experienced a pullback as of late. Doubt has been cast about rate cuts coming any time soon, and that has continued to weigh on precious metals prices. Even so, gold continues to be a bullish prospect long-term, and that just means this is an opportunity to buy. Click here to learn about one gold miner set to win big when gold turns around.
