China has a 90% monopoly on rare earths, and the moment Trump announced tariffs, China responded by cutting off the supply...
China has done this three times since 2010, and every time, it’s worked: China has used rare earths to get what they want at the negotiation table.
We saw the latest example this week.
After going back and forth with China over several days of tense negotiations in London, Trump has negotiated a “done deal” on resuming rare earths imports.
But while this is good news for America’s manufacturers, it hides the true state of what’s happening...
Behind the confident smile and thumbs up, Trump is pushing to move our rare earths supply back to America — which includes two executive orders and $439 million in funds from the Department of Defense and Department of Energy.
Until we’re producing our own raw materials, China’s trade strategy will continue to work.
And the costs for America remain high.
As one industry analyst put it, the concept of “done deal” has already been turned on its head: “the damage is ‘done.’”
Because the current shutdowns sweeping America remain unavoidable...
- Ford shut down its assembly line in Chicago, Illinois, several weeks ago, waiting on rare earths-dependent parts for the Explorer
- Volvo stopped production at its Ridgeville, South Carolina, plant due to lack of rare earths for its EX90 EV and Polestar 3
- And dozens of other auto manufacturers with plants from Ohio to Indiana warn that supplies are dwindling and shutdowns could be just weeks, if not days, away. The “done deal” won’t prevent shutdowns before supplies are replenished
Even once China’s shipments resume, the threat will remain.
Trump has said he’s not going to let that happen.
American manufacturers, exhausted already, are pressing harder for American rare earths.
The importance of American rare earths continues to grow.
There are two under-the-radar American rare earths miners that can help solve this crisis...
➜One is the only American producer capable of supplying the six rare earths China just banned.
➜The other owns a patented recycling technology that “mines” rare earths from old equipment and puts them back into use, solving the most critical needs — no middlemen in China needed.
Our own co-founder and publisher Nick Hodge has put together a report that has the full details on both.
They’re the only way to break China’s monopoly.
Find out why these two rare earths companies are the key to America’s rare earths independence... and why Trump’s “done deal” has solidified their priority and importance for America’s national security.
