“There are traces of gold in the Colorado River and the sunken ruins of gigantic dredges; a few lead, zinc and silver mines scattered about; but the only rock which has so far proved to be of commercial value in the canyon country is that called carnotite.
Carnotite, a greenish-yellow ore, is a complex mineral containing radon gas, vanadium and – uranium.
Here was a treasure.”
Edward Abbey, Desert Solitaire
Today, I want to talk to you about rocks – and treasure.
When I was a kid, the most fun I had with rocks was skipping them across a creek. I did have an erstwhile rock collection; some of those fun rocks like birthstones. My birthstone is sapphire – so I had a few of those – but I also collected some amethyst geodes and a smattering of turquoise, opal and rubies because I thought they were kind of magical and certainly quite pretty.
But despite the beauty of these rocks, they actually weren’t all that valuable.
For example, a top quality 1 to 2 carat sapphire stone might go for around $800 - $1,200 per carat. Mine were not nearly that large. Even the most avid rockhounds among me didn’t do that well on their investments.
We were looking in all the wrong places.
If you want to get rich, you can do better with other rocks that aren’t nearly as immediately fetching as the shiny ones. Case in point…
This is what carnotite looks like:

I know – it looks like a chunk of antique mustard. But it is perhaps the most valuable rock around these days. It is a radioactive mineral of hydrated vanadate of uranium and potassium, often found near petrified trees.
Most importantly it contains uranium. The very unique metal that has literally changed human history. From nuclear power to the atom bomb it is the single most powerful rock in the world. What Edward Abbey called “The Hidden Splendor”.
Today it is set to make its greatest run yet.
That’s where the investment part comes in. These ugly looking rocks could turn into a windfall of cash for anyone who knows exactly what to look for.
The Abbey quote above was from the late 1960s, when the first U.S. uranium boom took place. It was driven by the needs of the U.S. nuclear weapons program through the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), who was the sole purchaser of uranium ore from World War II until 1971.
It created a gold rush in the West as miners descended on Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and Texas.
That was just one uranium boom that minted many millionaires.
Back in 2006, there was flooding at Cigar Lake, which was the largest high-grade uranium deposit in the world.
This caused a huge supply-demand gap, spiking the price of uranium per pound 13-fold and causing uranium-producing companies to quickly become worth billions of dollars.
Here’s what happened to uranium companies during that bull market:
- Energy Fuels had 13,275% gains in around two years.
- UEX Energy spiked 13,976%
- Laramide Resources more than DOUBLED those numbers with 30,800% gains in two years.
Those are life-changing investments. My friend and colleague Gerardo Del Real was around for that last boom, and it made him a very wealthy man.
Now he’s ready to do it again, and wants to take you along for the ride.
Today the government is about to set off a brand new uranium rush. President Trump has signed executive orders that will increase U.S. domestic uranium production and enrichment capabilities. The main goal of these orders is to significantly increase the U.S. nuclear energy capacity, aiming to go beyond the commitment at the UN Climate Conference in Dubai to double our nuclear output.
And then triple it to 400 gigawatts by 2050 for both energy independence and national security.
That means serious success for U.S.-based uranium companies in very short order. Gerardo believes we could see uranium prices surge to $140 per pound, and eventually to record highs near $200 per pound.
Investors in U.S. uranium companies can ride that all the way up.
That’s why Gerardo has just released a report that outlines his three favorite companies that will reap the spoils of this new uranium boom.
You can get immediate access to all three companies right here.
Rock yourselves to riches…
Godspeed,
